Baby showers are one of my favorite parties to craft for. Everything is tiny, soft and pastel, and handmade touches always get the most oohs and aahs.
A Cricut makes it so much easier. In one afternoon you can cut a stack of favor boxes, a cake topper and a onesie for the guest of honor.

I rounded up 17 Cricut baby shower ideas for the party itself and for the baby gifts. There are paper favors, cards, onesies, nursery decor and keepsakes, and each one comes with the SVG file.
Tip: Still choosing a font for the baby’s name? Type it into our free Cricut Font Previewer and compare dozens of fonts before you cut a onesie, a banner or a name sign.
What to Make for a Baby Shower
It’s easy to get carried away, so I like to split the projects into three groups:
- Party decor: a cake topper, cupcake toppers, a banner and a welcome sign. These set the theme, so make them first.
- Favors: small paper boxes filled with candy, tea or bath salts. Cardstock is cheap, so you can cut 20 or 30 in an evening.
- Gifts for the baby: onesies, bibs, a name sign for the nursery or milestone markers for those monthly photos.
If the parents are keeping the gender a surprise, stick to mint, yellow, sage and cream so everything matches either way.
Tips for Iron-On on Baby Clothes
Baby clothes are small and soft, so they need a little extra care. Wash and dry the onesie first, so it doesn’t shrink after you press the design.
Keep designs about 3 to 4 inches wide on a newborn onesie, and press inside out on a low setting if you’re unsure. I’d skip glitter iron-on on baby clothes, because it can feel scratchy against soft skin. Everyday iron-on and SportFlex stay soft and stretch with the fabric.
17 Cricut Baby Shower Ideas
Here are my favorite Cricut baby shower ideas, starting with favors and party decor and finishing with gifts for the baby.
1. Paper Baby Shoes Favor Box
Most Popular Baby Shower Favor

These tiny paper shoes are actually favor boxes, and with over 1,500 favorites they’re the most popular project in this list.
Cut them in cardstock, lace them up with thin ribbon and tuck a few chocolates inside. Make them in pink, blue or a neutral cream to match the party.
2. BABY Block Favor Boxes
Best Favor Box Set

Four little cube boxes spell out B-A-B-Y, with lattice cutouts on the sides and a bow on top. Over 1,300 crafters have saved this one.
Line them up in the middle of the dessert table, or make a set for the guest of honor to take home. A sheet of vellum behind the lattice windows looks really pretty.
3. Oh Baby Hot Air Balloon Cake Topper
Best Cake Topper

“Oh Baby” sits under a little hot air balloon, which is perfect for an “up, up and away” or adventure theme.
Cut it in glitter cardstock and glue it back to back with a second layer so it stays stiff. Tape a wooden skewer between the layers before you glue.
4. Baby Onesie Cupcake Toppers
Best Cupcake Toppers

Little onesie shapes with “Boy” across the front turn plain cupcakes into party cupcakes.
Cut the onesies in cardstock, add the word in a contrasting color and glue each one to a toothpick. They’re also cute as a gender reveal if you make a batch in each color.
5. Wildflower Crib Pop-Up Card
Best Baby Shower Card

This pop-up box card has a little white crib with a “hello baby” banner, surrounded by layers of bright paper flowers.
It folds flat to fit in an envelope and pops open when the new parents pull it out. It’s the kind of card people keep in the baby book.
6. Shake, Rattle and Love Card
Best Card for a Baby Gift

The round head of the rattle is a shaker window, so the sequins inside jingle around when the card moves. A little “hello baby” label finishes it off.
Cut the window from acetate, add a pinch of sequins and seal it with foam tape. Make it in blue, pink or yellow to match the shower.
7. Lantern Baby Shower Box
Best Centerpiece Box

This sunny yellow box has heart cutouts on every side and a petal top tied with a ribbon.
Pop a battery tea light inside and it glows through the cutouts. Make a few in different sizes for the tables.
8. Baby Name Garland
Best Nursery Banner

Each pennant holds one letter of the baby’s name, and little dinosaurs peek around the letters. It works as shower decor and then moves straight to the nursery.
It’s made for a laser, but you can cut the pennants in thick chipboard or layered cardstock on a Cricut. String them on twine or jute.
9. Floral Nursery Name Sign
Best Nursery Decor

The baby’s name sits in a flowing script above a row of delicate wildflowers. Over 400 crafters have saved this design.
Cut it in white cardstock or vinyl and layer it on a painted wood round. It looks lovely above the crib or on a bookshelf.
10. 3D Paper Mama and Baby Mice
Best 3D Papercraft

A mama mouse and her baby, folded from flat pieces of cardstock into a 3D sculpture. They’d look adorable on a nursery shelf.
This one is rated expert, so save it for when you have a quiet afternoon. Score the fold lines with the scoring tool and use a fine-tip glue pen.
11. Keeper of the Gender Shirt
Best Gender Reveal Shirt

“Keeper of the gender, he or she, what will it bee?” comes with little bees and baby footprints, and it’s made for the one person who knows the secret.
Use pink and blue iron-on for the feet and black for the words. It’s a fun gift for the friend who’s in charge of the cake or the confetti.
12. Mom to Be Shirt
Best Gift for the Mom to Be

A simple “Mom to be” with a little heart in a speech bubble is a sweet thing for the guest of honor to wear at her own shower.
Choose a shirt a size up so it’s comfy over the bump, and cut the design in red and black iron-on.
13. Tiny but Mighty Onesie
Best Onesie

“Tiny but mighty” in colorful retro letters is perfect for a little one, and it’s lovely for a preemie too.
Cut it in everyday iron-on and keep it about 3 inches wide on a newborn size. Pair it with a matching bib for a quick gift set.
14. Bunny Name Onesie
Best Personalized Onesie

A sweet bunny peeks over a blank sign, so you can add the baby’s name or a cute word like “hello.”
Cut the layers in iron-on, or use the PNG with Print Then Cut on printable iron-on. It’s perfect for a spring baby or a first Easter.
15. Small Human, Big Appetite Bib
Best Funny Baby Gift

“Small human, big appetite” is a funny one for a baby who’s always hungry, which is every baby.
Bibs get washed a lot, so press the iron-on well and wait 24 hours before the first wash. A stack of three funny bibs makes a great gift.
16. Monthly Milestone Discs
Best Keepsake Gift

This set has an “opening day” disc for the birth, one for every month from 1 to 11, and “1 year,” all with baseball stitching around the edge.
Cut the numbers in vinyl and stick them on wood rounds from the craft store. Parents lay one next to the baby for each monthly photo.
17. Hello World Birth Stats Sign
Best Newborn Photo Prop

“Hello world” sits at the top, with lines for the baby’s name, birth date, time, weight and length.
Cut it in white vinyl for a wood round, and leave the lines blank so the parents can fill them in with a paint pen. It’s lovely for the first photos at the hospital.
Cricut Baby Shower FAQs
What can I make with a Cricut for a baby shower?
Favor boxes, cake and cupcake toppers, banners, cards and welcome signs for the party, and onesies, bibs and nursery signs as gifts.
Is iron-on vinyl safe for baby clothes?
Yes, iron-on is widely used on baby clothes. Press it well so the edges don’t lift, and keep designs away from snaps and seams where little fingers can pick at them.
What cardstock should I use for favor boxes?
A medium cardstock around 65 to 80 lb is best. It’s sturdy enough to hold candy but still folds neatly. Score the fold lines first.
How far ahead should I make baby shower decorations?
Paper decor and favors can be made a few weeks ahead. Store them flat or in a box so they don’t get crushed, and assemble boxes a day or two before.
