A good font can make or break your project. Whether you are designing to make physical or digital products, branding, social media posts, or any other creative projects, having the right set of fonts is necessary.
Are you looking for the best script font to use in your commercial projects for business? You are in the right place! I listed down a collection of modern, cute, elegant, handwritten, brush, vintage, and calligraphy fonts. Some of these fonts come with beautiful tails and swashes that are sure to make your designs extra special!
You have scoured the internet and found a free font you love. You are going to download it, and that’s when you read the fine print – free for personal use only. Don’t get me wrong, I am a strong supporter of buying fonts for commercial use. Font designers work very hard to make fonts for us and what we pay for fonts when we purchase them is a very small investment compared to the returns we get.
But I also believe that having access to free for commercial use fonts is important. Especially if you are new to using fonts or someone who has just started a small business and is still figuring out a design style that works for you, these fonts come to the rescue. It also introduces font designers to us and gives us a chance to try their fonts. If you like a free font and end up using it for your business, I strongly encourage you to explore more work from the font designer. Chances are they have more awesome stuff in store for you!
A big THANK YOU to the font designers who are kind enough to provide these beautiful, free for commercial use fonts to us!
Please note that most of the fonts mentioned in this post are print-friendly and may not be suitable for cutting vinyl. I have a separate post for free to use commercial fonts for cutting machines coming up.
I hope that you love the script fonts that I put together for you. I included a wide variety of font styles – modern, brush, handwritten, calligraphy, etc. So feel free to install these fonts and try them to figure out what works best for you. I included an example for each font to give you a better idea about how you can use them.
The font names are clickable links. You will be directed to the page where you can download the font for free. All the fonts in this post are from CreativeFabrica. Thanks for these font suggestions. Can you tell me a good way to find out if a font is a single line for writing with my Cricut? There are so many that I love that write an outline. I would love to find writing fonts that look like handwriting.
Hi Wendi,
You can type out a word in design space and change the linetype from cut to draw. If the cut and draw versions are the same, without any outlines, then it is a single line font. You can search for sketch/foil quill or single line fonts online. Or here are a few fonts you can try (aff. links) –
