But I also believe that having access to free commercial use fonts is important. Especially if you are new to using fonts or someone who has just started a small business and is still figuring out a design style that works for you, these fonts come to the rescue. It also introduces font designers to us and gives us a chance to try their fonts.

Thanks for these font suggestions. Can you tell me a good way to find out if a font is a single line for writing with my Cricut? There are so many that I love that write an outline. I would love to find writing fonts that look like handwriting.
You can type out a word in design space and change the linetype from cut to draw. If the cut and draw versions are the same, without any outlines, then it is a single line font. You can search for sketch/foil quill or single line fonts online. Or here are a few fonts you can try (aff. links) –

Yes, you can download and use these fonts in your computer. You don’t need Cricut or Silhouette. Please note that I did not make these free fonts.
