Font designers work very hard to make fonts for us and what we pay for fonts when we purchase them is a minimal investment compared to the returns we get.
But I also believe that having access to free commercial use fonts is important. Especially if you are new to using fonts or someone who has just started a small business and is still figuring out a design style that works for you, these fonts come to the rescue. It also introduces font designers to us and gives us a chance to try their fonts.
