I love making little things for my home with my Cricut. A few paper flowers, a wreath or a new doormat can make a room feel fresh without spending much at all.
And handmade decor always gets a “where did you get that?” from guests.

I rounded up 15 Cricut home decor ideas, from 3D paper flowers and vases to wreaths, a papercraft lamp, a wall decal and a doormat. Each one comes with an SVG file, and most use simple cardstock or vinyl.

Best Materials for Cricut Home Decor
Most of these projects use materials you probably already have:
- Cardstock: 65 lb for paper flowers and 80 to 110 lb for 3D vases, lamps and frames that need to stand up.
- Removable vinyl: best for wall decals and anything you may want to change later.
- Stencil vinyl and paint: for doormats, wood and canvas.
- Vellum: softens the light inside luminaries and lanterns.
- Hot glue and craft glue: hot glue for flowers, a fine-tip craft glue for layered paper.
For anything that glows, use battery LED lights only. Paper and real flames don’t mix.
How to Make 3D Paper Flowers with a Cricut
Cut the petals from 65 lb cardstock with the fine-point blade. Use the scoring wheel or stylus if the file has fold lines.
Curl each petal around a pencil or a bone folder, then glue the layers from the largest to the smallest. Finish with the center and leaves, and give the glue a few minutes to set before you arrange them.
15 Cricut Home Decor Ideas
Here are my favorite Cricut home decor ideas, starting with paper flowers and vases and finishing with wreaths, frames and front door decor.
1. 3D Paper Butterflies and Dragonflies
Most Popular Home Decor File

Layered paper butterflies and dragonflies flutter across the wall in pinks, gold and deep red. It’s the most saved home decor file in this list.
Cut each layer in a different shade of cardstock, glue them together and fold the wings up a little. A few foam dots behind each one make them look like they’re about to fly off the wall.
2. Giant Paper Daisies
Best Paper Flower Project

Big, cheerful daisies with layered petals and fringed yellow centers. They look lovely in a vase or as a bunch on a mantel.
Use 65 lb cardstock for the petals so they hold their curl. Roll the petals gently around a pencil before you glue them.
3. Paper Rose Bouquet
Prettiest Flower Arrangement

These 3 to 4 inch roses look surprisingly real, especially in a mix of cream, blush and deep pink.
Make a bouquet for the coffee table, or add a few to a wreath. They never wilt, which is my favorite part.
4. Poppies in a Paper Vase
Best Mini Flower Arrangement

Bright red poppies sit in a little faceted vase, and the file includes both the flowers and the vase.
It’s small enough for a windowsill or a desk. Try it in orange or yellow for a sunny spring look.
5. Paper Succulents in Pots
Best No-Water Plants

Purple, blue and green paper succulents fill little terracotta pots. No watering, no wilting.
Shade the edges of each leaf with a little ink or chalk for a realistic look. A group of three looks great on a bookshelf.
6. 3D Oval Paper Vase
Best Modern Accent

This faceted vase has a modern, low-poly look. It’s a pretty piece on its own or holding a few dried stems.
Use 80 lb cardstock or heavier so it stands firmly. Don’t put water in it; fill it with dried or paper flowers instead.
7. Paper Wall Vase with Roses
Best Wall Accent

This vase is flat on the back, so it hangs on the wall like a little shelf for flowers. The file includes eight vase shapes.
Fill it with paper roses or dried flowers. Hang a few in a row in a hallway for a simple gallery wall.
8. Layered Flower Vase Art
Most Colorful Design

Seven layers build a bright vase of flowers that pops off the frame.
Stack the layers with foam squares for depth and pop it into a shadow box frame. It brightens up any kitchen or entryway.
9. Papercraft Table Lamp
Best Statement Piece

A faceted base and a crisp shade make this paper lamp look like a real designer piece.
It’s decorative, but you can tuck a battery LED light inside the shade for a soft glow. Never use a real bulb or candle with paper.
10. Winter Cardinal Luminary
Best Cozy Winter Decor

Cardinals perch on snowy branches, and the scene glows when you light it from inside.
Back the cut-outs with vellum so the light spreads evenly. Use an LED tealight, never a real flame.
11. Paper Cut Flower Wreath
Best Year-Round Wreath

A delicate ring of flowers and leaves that works in any season.
Cut it from white or cream cardstock and float it in a frame, or add a name in the middle for a sweet family sign.
12. Heart Leaf Wreath
Best Romantic Decor

Leaves curl around into a heart shape. It’s simple, elegant and very sweet.
Hang it in a bedroom, or add your wedding date in the center for an anniversary gift.
13. Layered Photo Frames
Best Personalized Decor

These layered frames turn favorite photos into pretty wall art. The bundle has lots of shapes and sizes.
Cut the layers in soft colors that match your room and print the photo to size. They make a thoughtful gift for new grandparents.
14. Play This Way Wall Decal
Best Playroom Decor

A bold arrow points the way to the playroom. It’s fun, simple and quick to cut.
Use removable matte vinyl so it peels off cleanly when the kids outgrow it. Pick a color that matches the toys or bedding.
15. Family Is Everything Doormat
Best Front Door Decor

“Family is everything” welcomes guests in bold lettering with a row of arrows in the middle.
Cut the design from stencil vinyl, stick it to a plain coir mat and dab on black outdoor paint. Peel the stencil while the paint is still wet.
Cricut Home Decor FAQs

The Cricut Maker 3 or Explore 3 handle almost every project here. They cut cardstock, vinyl and stencil material, and work with Smart Materials for long decals.
What cardstock is best for 3D paper projects?
Use 80 to 110 lb cardstock for vases, lamps and frames so they hold their shape. Lighter 65 lb cardstock is easier to curl for flowers.
