A wine glass with a funny saying is one of the easiest Cricut gifts there is. It takes a small piece of vinyl, about ten minutes, and it always gets a laugh.
Add a bottle of wine and you have a gift for almost anyone.

I rounded up 14 Cricut wine glass ideas: funny Christmas glasses, everyday sayings, gifts for teachers and birthdays, a few bridal party ideas and some seasonal designs. Each one comes with the cut file.
Tip: Want a name that curves around the glass? Make it in our free Curved Text Generator, then download the SVG and cut it in vinyl.
Stemmed or Stemless: Which Glass to Use
Both work well with vinyl, but they’re a little different:
- Stemless wine glasses: the easiest to decorate. The sides are fairly straight, so bigger designs go on without wrinkles.
- Stemmed wine glasses: keep the design small and put it on the flattest part of the bowl, or on the base.
- Stainless wine tumblers: great for outdoor parties and the beach. Vinyl sticks well to powder-coated tumblers too.
Use permanent vinyl, like Cricut Premium Permanent Vinyl or Oracal 651, and wipe the glass with rubbing alcohol first.
How to Make a Wine Glass with a Cricut
Size the design to about 3 to 3.5 inches wide for a stemless glass, and smaller for a stemmed one. Cut it in permanent vinyl, weed it, and pick it up with transfer tape.
Put the design on the glass, start from the middle, and smooth it out to the sides. Let it set for a couple of days before you wash it, and always wash it by hand.

Cricut Wine Glass FAQs
What vinyl is best for wine glasses?
Permanent vinyl, like Cricut Premium Permanent Vinyl or Oracal 651. Removable vinyl won’t last through washing.
Are vinyl wine glasses dishwasher safe?
No. The heat and water can make the vinyl peel. Wash the glasses by hand, and they’ll last for years.
What size should a wine glass design be?
About 3 to 3.5 inches wide works for most stemless glasses. Go smaller for stemmed glasses, around 2 to 2.5 inches.
Can I sell wine glasses made with these files?
Most Creative Fabrica files include a commercial license for physical products. Check the license on each file before you sell.
